Do you do deep work?
What is Positional Release Therapy?
What are your hours?
What are your credentials? I am Board Certified by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork, and am an approved Continuing Education Provider by the NCBTMB. I am licensed to practice massage in Massachusetts, and the state of Washington.
What don't you charge extra for Deep Tissue, and other specialized work? Because I don't think you should have to pay more for the modalities you need.
Other places usually do 50 and 80 minute sessions, you do 60 and 90. Why? The simplest answer is: because I can. I am a sole proprietor, and still schedule every appointment myself. I'm not using a computer system that I have to squeeze my clients into, or that requires scheduling at the top and bottom of every hour. I think you deserve every minute receiving the work you came for. I also don't deduct our intake time [your health history] for the same reason.
Is tipping expected? I consider my work healthcare. You don't tip your doctor, chiropractor, etc., so for me tipping is neither necessary nor expected. (But, when you receive massage at a non-therapist owned establishment, please tip your therapist...they make far less then you think!)
What should I wear for my appointment? I always suggest comfortable, loose-fitting clothing. This is especially helpful for Positional Release Therapy sessions.
